Help Save the Earth for My Birthday?
This year is my 18th birthday, but I wanted to ask people to, instead of giving me a gift, make a donation to Greenpeace.
I’ve never been that big on birthdays, and even though my birthday is coming up soon, it doesn’t feel all that much different. My birthdays often feel like just another normal day, and though of course I like getting gifts, I definitely don’t feel like I really need them. Which is why, this year, I wanna do something that actually might make my birthday feel more special than usual.
If you know me, you know I care about not letting the world explode in a giant disaster caused by human greed, so please participate in help saving it. Even a tiny amount of money would be better than nothing at all. And if we’re not that close and I don’t usually receive birthday presents from you, think of this not as a birthday present to me, but just as a donation out of the goodness of your heart to save the planet.
Because seriously, the planet I live on not dying in fifty years would be a pretty great birthday gift.
