As of 2021 there is 5.25 trillion macro and micro pieces of plastic in our ocean & 46,000 pieces in every square mile of ocean, weighing up to 269,000 tonnes. About 8 million pieces of plastic makes their way into our oceans daily.

CHALLENGE the outcomes of major corporations ignoring environmental policies and factors. In March 2020, Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Nestlé and Unilever were found to be responsible for half a million tonnes of plastic pollution in six developing countries each year, in a survey by NGO Tearfund.

With all that has been going on in the world right now, it’s easy to find yourself overwhelmed. I know I have, but it’s also a timely opportunity for self reflection. Right now is the perfect time to get in tune with your values, and support initiatives that reflect them! It is my strong belief that any small effort counts if the thought behind it is sincere.
